Announcing the the next release of gARIM, a GUI version of the ARIM ARDOP host
program. This version is compatible with both version 1x and version 2.x ARDOP TNCs:

For Linux OS, the binary distributions are for Ubuntu 18.04 and derivatives like Linux Mint 19.x only. It's best to compile gARIM from source code to avoid library versioning problems. It's easy, instructions are found in the INSTALL file included in the source distribution (now with instructions for Fedora 28 and derivatives, and for Cygwin/X).
1. Add new options to the TNC menu:
- Send ID Frame (transmits an ARDOP ID frame)
- Send Two-tone Signal (transmits a 5 second two-tone signal)
The two-tone signal is useful for setting Tx audio drive levels.
2. Do not send PING command to TNC if it's not in DISC state.
3. If the command prompt is active, but empty, pressing the backspace
key will deactivate it.
4. Update INSTALL file in source code distribution with instructions
for building on Cygwin/X.
5. Update Help document with instructions for installing and running
gARIM on Cygwin/X.
